FAQ

We understand that it is not always easy for new clients to call and speak to a stranger about their situation, so we have put together a list Frequently Asked Questions.

Q. Are you licensed?

A. Yes, we are licensed through the new CAPI system which is run through the NSW Police. Our License number can be located at the top of the website and can be verified by going to the NSW Police Website.

Q. Are my details kept confidential?

A. Yes, we maintain the strictest of confidentiality for all our clients. You will notice if you call the office, we answer the phone 'Hello, can I help you?' We do this to protect our clients. If the person we were investigating was to stumble across our number that you had left around, they would have to know who we were before we identified ourselves. This has caused a number of problems with new clients who want to know who they are talking to. Unless you can tell us that you are after a Private Investigator, we will under no circumstan ces tell you who we are.

Q. What should I be wary of before calling a Private Investigation Firm?

A. Unfortunately, like all industries, there are good and bad operators. Be wary of:

  • Any firm that promises the world for a large upfront fee.

  • Any firm that guarantees results. If they lose someone, they will consider that a result.

  • Any firm that ONLY has a 1300 or 1800 number to call as these may appear on your phone bill and may generate suspicion from the one you are investigating.

  • Any firm that only has a mobile number as a contact. This number may be a pre-paid under a different name. They may just take your money.

  • Any firm that can not see you in their office or insists on seeing you somewhere else. We have an office in the city of Sydney but understand it is not always easy for our clients to come and see us, so we offer a mobile office service, where we can meet somewhere convenient for our client at a time that is suitable for them.

Q. What is required to commence an investigation?

A. In order to commence an Investigation, we require the following information.

  • Start address

  • Start Date and Time

  • Photograph of the Subject or Persons we are investigating

  • Vehicle details

  • Details on what it is you want us to look for whilst we are investigating

Q. How long does an investigation take?

A. We are unable to determine the length of an investigation as we can not make the Subject do what it is you are looking for. Investigations generally take between 4 hours and can go as long as years depending on the case.

Q. How do you charge?

A. We charge a flat hourly rate of $110 per hour with a minimum of 4 hours per day. Our rate is all inclusive of costs, so you generally do not pay extras like travelling time, kilometres or video footage providing the job is within the Metropolitan area. Travelling time and Kilometres may apply outside of these area including Inter-State work.

Q. Do you have a minimum number of hours?

A. Yes, we work off a minimum of 4 hours per call out.

Q. Do you have investigators in other states other than NSW?

A. Yes, we have Investigators all over Australia .

Q. Can I remain anonymous?

A. Your details will always remain protected, though if you want to remain anonymous, there are ways that you can do that. Just let us know if you want to remain anonymous and we will advise you how.

Q. How do I verify that you were actually conducting the investigation?

A. It is possible that during any day of an investigation, nothing will happen. We try to get footage of the general area every half an hour to show that we were there.

Q. What evidence do you get?

A. We try to obtain as much footage as possible during the investigation. We understand that evidence is the key when confronting the Subject about what they have been up to. If you confront them without any evidence, they will inevitably deny it. We do not want that to happen, so we try and arm you with as much ammunition as possible so there can be no denying it.
