Mobile Phone Monitoring

New technology has become available to monitor certain mobile phones. The software is able to record calls made, calls received, and actual sms messages.

We have had a number of complaints from people who have purchased the software through other firms, only to find it is not compatible with the phone they wish to monitor. If you still require further information, you may call to speak with us, though a consultation fee may be applied.

Under current legislation, it is illegal to listen in and monitor anyone’s phone lines (mobile or land line). Please see the Telecommunications Interception Act here.

We will NOT SELL, INSTALL or SUPPORT any devices that Monitors, Records or Listens in on any Telecommunication Devices.

There has been a lot of hype over the Mobile Phone Monitoring Software segment on Today Tonight.

The long and the short of it is:

  • The software is provided by a company called Flexispy based in the UK. www.flexispy.com
  • The software only works on a number of mobile phones which are listed on the www.flexispy.com website.
  • The software has to be downloaded and installed on the mobile phone in question, so you need physical access to the phone.
  • The phone must be internet enabled and be signed up to a data plan through the Telco as it sends the data from the phone to a secured Server over the internet.
  • There will be data charges appearing on the owner’s phone bill, so if they question their bill, the Telco will certainly look into where the data charges have come from or gone to.
  • It is illegal and the fines are $26k and 2 years imprisonment and we will not risk any clients by selling the software. There are agencies that will do it if you want someone else to help you, but you will PAY heavily for the use of their time, when they will use the exact same software as seen on Today Tonight and that I have mentioned above.

If you are concerned about your phone being monitored, here is the link to the company that provides anti-spyware software for Mobile Phones. Click here

I hope this helps clarify it for you, it is not as simple as Today Tonight made out, but it is possible... though illegal depending on intentions. If the owner of the phone knows it is going to be installed and they will be tracked and monitored, then it is not illegal.
